Chichester Ship List 1767

Chichester Ship List 1767

Originally I was going to put a link here for anyone to see but unfortunately the website no longer exists. So I am just going to input the information for this family. Anyone else can email me squeeky1969@hotmail.com. The Chichester departed departed Belfast Ireland and arrived in Charleston SC in the late part of 1866 and early 1867. The type of ship was a brigatine and its master was William Reed. There was 147 passengers. The Moreheads were listed as Moorhead and in this order James age 58, Rose age 24, Jane age 57, Prudence age 13, James age 5, and James age 17. Also listed with this ship were Land Warrant Petitions. It also has a note that says: Those names which are on the above list or are given as under the age of 16 on the above list may refer to others who arrived on another vessel, were simply missed, or have ages incorrectly listed. There are 79 names on this list. Again I will only list the Moreheads. They are also listed as Moorhead on this list. James 100 acres, James 250 acre, Rose 100 acre.

DardeauEA1 Correction to Chichester Dates: Believe that 1766 & 1767 are intended instead of 1866 & 1867, as JAM died in 1840.
